Long Weekends are nice...

This past weekend has been decently filled with things...but not TOO busy.

Saturday and Sunday was General Conference of course, which is a bi-annual conference that happens in my church where we get to hear from the leaders of the church. You can read the recaps here if you wish.
The sessions I caught were good. ;)

Saturday evening, Scott and I were trying to be productive and pick pictures for our wedding album and also start working to get out our Thank You cards, but well...sometimes things just don't go according to plan. It was a frustrating evening.

Sunday, out to Strathmore for the Thanksgiving feast! Thanks so much guys...it was SO DELISH! It was nice to see the family and eat delicious food. My sister even had made these cute little 'turkey's' out of treats.

George also got lots of attention from the nieces and nephew.

But can you blame them?? He's getting big, but he's still cute! (Though he doesn't always love all that crazy attention...haha).

And then Monday... Benifred and Francesca joined Scott and I on an adventure to the dinosaur town - Drumheller!

If you didn't know, Drumheller is the home of the Royal Tyrell Museum, and is a completely dinosaur themed town as a result. The picture above is of the main grocery store - IGA. Scott was excited to show us all ;)

It was a good time! 

After that, it was drive back home and find some food! We eventually decided upon a nice Thanksgiving (late) lunch at Boogies Burgers and it was delish! Then it was hanging out for a bit at our place before they had to head to their second family Thanksgiving dinner (their first was on Sunday as well). 
Thanks for the fun time Benifred and Francesca...we'll have to do it again sometime soon ;)

This morning Scott and I were up early because it was back to work for Scott (and I worked out as he got ready). It was nice to be able to spend the long weekend with him...but I miss him already!

Aiight! So this past week has been fairly lame...not that that generally stops me from blogging but...you know, what ev's ;)

SO! It has been a fairly good weekend (it was General Conference weekend), and if anyone doesn't know what that is...ask me! I worked Saturday morning so I didn't get to watch that session, but Saturday PM...we hit it up!

Great session. We then picked up some delicious Vietnamese food -- mmmmm~! -- and watched So I Married An Axe Murderer. Awesome and ridiculous. It had been a while ;) Then the boys went to their Priesthood session of Conference and the roomie and I went for a little adventure! Very little... ANYWAYS. I got something. Something not overly exciting, but I want to try it out a bit more before talking about it. So patience young grasshopper. Patience.

Sunday we were invited over to Scott's brother and sister-in-law's (I can't say their name as I don't have permission...because they don't even know I write a blog!) house to watch Conference and have a feast! A breakfast feast ;) Crepes, fruit, eggs, bacon, sausage. So delish~! And we got to play with their little daughter...very cute! 

All in all, a fairly pleasant weekend.

I did basically nothing...though I never really have. Oh well.

I don't think you can really see it. But this dog has an amazing beard! The owner was smoking in the car with him though :( Scott told me it's what makes the dogs beard grow... -.-

STOP SNOW >:|

So this past weekend.... another HUGE snowfall. It's slightly depressing really.
SPRING WHERE ARE YOU!?!
I'm kind of hoping my spring call will be answered and and that she'll accept my invitation! Then again (with my luck) it'll probably keep snowing for FOREVER! Jeez...I hope not. All I really want is Summer, I'm just willing to settle with Spring...(don't tell her I said that :X)
Anyways...if you're forgetting what Spring looks like, it should be a little something like this...

SO...life. Well it was a pretty tame weekend, which is quite alright! I'll go over the highlights!

Friday night...White China made and brought me a cake :D It was seriously delicious! Everyone should do this! (And by this I mean everyone should make and bring me a cake ;3) hehe.

Saturday/Sunday was General Conference which was pretty great this time around! Definitely a lot of talks on service...guess we should get on that...

Sunday, a few people came over for a mini feast of LASAGNA (ya...I didn't make it, go safeway brand! It was pretty tasty though).

OH! I should mention, Francesca did her marathon on Saturday and did her 42.4km in 3:45:08 (pretty darn good if I do say so myself - couldn't do it, lack of training and battery)

Monnnddaaay... work then FHE, we did egg decorating and then afterwards I saw HOT ROD for the first time! It was definitely stupid, but even moreso utterly amusing! I give it ****(out of 5)!
Then on the way back home, a couple people were talking and I felt terribly uneducated! Like I'm no idiot (shhh...) but in their conversation I sure felt like one... :P I need to start reading again... and soon get back into school!

Those are the basics...nothing eventful really. But life is still going splendidly. And hope yours is too! How was your weekend? Watch General Conference at all? Thoughts? What should I do for my FHE?!! (this monday) Though I think I have an idea ;)

RANDOM FACT ABOUT ME -- I'm beginning to forget what I've written for these things...So I'll pick a random object and tell a story from it. FIRE HYDRANT! Alright, when I was in nursing, they had us do a "virtual training" of what to do and how to use a fire hydrant and likewise, put out a fire. You could only be "certified" if you put it out in a certain amount of time. I know I did it within the time limit but I remember feeling like this would have not be what a real situation with a fire would be like at all! And ya... that's it :D THE END!

Ok...that didn't feel like a random fact at all, so I'm going to do a round 2....
I used to be kind of obsessed with the movie Twister. I always wished I could see a hurricane/tornado of sorts and I still do! I'm sure I'd be one of the stupid people standing there staring.
