Alright, alright...

So I figure I should get on this post before I lose all motivation to do it... and also all recollection of the trip itself!

So...California was awesome! We flew into San Diego and spent 5 days there. First night, we went on a decently long walk (few miles each way) and up quite the hill(!) to get some frozen yogurt at Cup of Yo :D It was delicious! In the states, they have frozen yogurt places everywhere! You pick your flavor(s), you put on your toppings, and then you weigh it in and pay based on how much you have! And it's kind of cheap as well! For a huge cup...it was like 5 bucks! Not to mention it was delicious.
After that first experience, I wanted it every day after that... but we only went 3 of the 5 nights (not that we didn't find more elsewhere!) ;)
(I never got a picture of my cup because 1. I scarfed it down immediately, and 2. I never carried my phone around with me)

Here's a couple pictures I took on the plane TO San Diego...

Scott and I :D
Scott and I (and Lady in Yellow)
Cloud Land :D
Other things done in San Diego are as follows (in no particular order)...
  •  Well, we rented a car... and ended up with a nice Challenger ;) Scott thoroughly enjoyed cruising around in that!
  • Trader Joe's (I've never been, and I wanted to check it out as I've heard about it...) We tried a few snacks like crackers and cheese, chips, cat cookies, Cookie Butter (haven't tried it yet), and Peanut Butter. All tasty so far :D
  • Beach! It was alright... too seaweedy  for my likings, but the sand was nice :3
  • Got sun burnt...after the beach day...
  • Took the ferry to... Catalina Island?? I don't remember, but that's where we beached.
  • Saw downtown (it was crazy...no parking)
  • Saw the Midway (that's been decommissioned, lots of cool planes on there)
  • Went in a couple Submarines and on the Star of India and a "Pirate Ship" (that was actually used for the first Pirate's movie - apparently)
  • Sea World! I've finally seen Shamu ;) Pretty crazy what they can train the whales, Sea Lions, and Dolphins to do.
  • Went to the San Diego Temple...which was really nice and had delicious food :D
  • Shark Week on TV! (Scary, but we both still swam in the Ocean!)
  • Both of us got our hair cut!
Don't mind me and my half snarly face...I was hungry
Now Scott's hair is all short! And there's me! ;)
Then we headed to Anaheim for a week! We had a hotel right across from Disney Land, and here's what we got up to there...
  • Disney Land of course! 1 day in Disneyland, 1 day in California Adventure, and half a day on our favorite rides! (Everything is way too expensive there...) (Tower of Terror is the best)
  • More exploring... we both got some new runners (shoes are cheaper there)
  • Hollywood Blvd! Crazy busy... and lots of crazies.
  • Universal Studios. Tons of fun, but insane lines!
  • Venice Beach - so fun! Awesome beach, nice clear water. Good day B) ...Burnt again unfortunately....
  •  We also brought home some Peanut Butter Captain Crunch - it's so good! Why don't they have that here????!?!?
  • Oh ya... I also got these! Unfortunately when they fully dried, they didn't stay together very well... and I ended up leaving them in California (mainly because there was no room!) But they were cute while they lasted.
Bouquet!
Fishy!
And sadly, the time eventually came to head home.
But this little hummingbird was there to bid us adieu! :D (yes, the little speck on the line)
And there was frozen yogurt at the John Wayne Airport to console me ;) (it was so yummy!)
And although it's always sad to leave and come back to real life and all the daily tasks, it's still good to be back.
It was a good honeymoon and adventure and I can't wait until the next one :D

What were you up to while I was gone?
And what adventures/vacations have you been on this summer?

Toodles for meow :)!

Good Golly Jeez

Trudy is about to go into another random post (which is actually every post I guess...).

Did I have a spectacularly amazing weekend full of wonder and beauty? But of course.
Anything to blog about? Not really.
Was it really all that? Maybe.

Anyways. I actually don't remember everything entirely. But Scott and I finally made a last minute decision to go see The Hunger Games at 11:15 (thus not getting to bed until like 3...).
We were there like an hour and a half early so we got quite swell seats really, but Trudy's just don't really function all that amazingly being out so late. (Lame right?)

I will say...the movie was quite good! And had it been a different movie, I likely would've fallen asleep ;). I still liked the books quite a bit more...but a movie can only do so much (until they prove otherwise anyways). I would definitely recommend you seeing it if you're interested though ;)

Sattuuuurrdaaayyy. Scott and I did something...something that involved pictures and walking and balloons. (Sounds kind of kinky when I put it that way ._.) Anyways, it was a good day. You can guess what we were doing if you want! It was a fun day...but my feet were so sore by the end I was limping D: (new shoes...I'm an idiot). Afterwards, we went to Boogies Burgers. And it was quite scrumptious! Kind of expensive...but deliciously expensive ;). I got some Mushroomy Burger, spicy fries, and a reaaaaallllyyy good milkshake. The chica at the till recommended it to me.... Chocolate, Peanut Butter, Oreo.
Strange? Maybe.
Delicious? Definitely.
Fattening? Who cares. (I probably should...)

Sunday...nothing too worthy of mentioning, but it was a swell day nonetheless!

How was YOUR weekend?

And I will end with a few random pictures...

Cute little kitten with its kleenexy kitten bed.

Me, being a poser...snapping shots of mahself. Y'know how it is ;)
I got a hair cut! All of them actually!

So...what do you think of mah jacket?
And yes! Just after this, I busted out into some flamingo dancing...or something...

And I just found this funny :)

That's it, that's all.

Ciao for meow :)!

Breaky!

So it's Saturday! :) I got a breaky call on the way to work this morning (my brother needed some breakfast), and bacon and egg mcmuffin is a great way to start off your day :D

So talk about an insane day! Babysitting kids while answering the phone is awesome! (not really...)

So the fellow surprised me last night by showing up on my doorstep! It was fairly awesome as I had missed him so :3 but alas, he returns to work tomorrow morning :<
Anyways, so tonight is the christmas work party! Which may or may not be a gong show...we shall see.

So day 10! With 15 days til Christmas! Almost to the 2 week countdown yo!

Annnndddd with that I'm keeping it real and peacing out.

Ta ta for meow :)!

RANDOM FACT ABOUT ME -- I love hair cuts! How it feels lighter, how it looks more crisp and clean, and especially when they wash your hair! It's awesome ;) I got a hair cut tonight :o! (and he curled it!)

Welcome to February

So I managed to avoid this for the entirety of January. But never fear! I'll escort your cupcakes to safety! (Don't worry about it...it was an ad on the radio -.-) Little jingles are always running through my head and it's slightly irritating, but at least it's never boring up there? *shrugs*

SO, where did I leave off? I have no idea. Hmm... well for pretty much the entirety of my being gone I was actually dating The snuggler (I mentioned him a couple entries ago...I'm too lazy to link it). We dated for just over 5 weeks. I'll give you a basic rundown - we started hanging out more and more, other guys would ask me to do things but because I was spending so much time with him in particular...I figured I owed it to him to give him a chance. He was a great guy, really nice and easy to get a long with. But I would say there were a few downfalls....
1. There didn't really seem to be much of a "spark" there.
2. I felt very unsure about him - people have told me that I should feel more sure.
3. Sometimes it seemed like he was more into movies/games/whatever than me.
My feelings can kind of be related to this song...
So I don't know entirely if I made the right decision. But it is what I chose and I'm sticking to it. I felt really bad the first little bit after the breakup because he seemed pretty hurt and I had been telling him that all is well (I like to hide my uncertainties sometimes)...and ya I felt terrible.
But I think things are ok now. I feel alright about things and I hope that all is well with him. We haven't talked much in person but we have texted a bit since the breakup. Today was our first encounter in person since the breakup (at church). It was alright...it seemed like we were slightly avoiding eachother. I don't know. It was meh(?), I suppose really it's what's to be expected after a breakup. So that's the way of it. Everyone at church could tell we had broken up as well because we usually sit together and usually talk....and well, as you've probably guessed...there was none of that. But I think the worst is over. Sadly though I miss him. Sure I miss the idea of being in a relationship - having someone there for you all the time and someone to hang out with and all that jazz. But I miss him as a person and friend as well. I'm frequently reminded of him from all the activities we did. But I reckon this is expected as well... ANYWAYS...enough of that ramble fest (well in regards to that anyways ;))

What else...there's a few things that I'll choose not to mention. But I can say that my sister is back from her vacay for a while (for a couple more weeks). It's been nice having her around. We're gym buddies, cooking companions, work friends, and roomies :) We do pretty good together (I think so anyways). Not to mention we've made some delicious meals and we now both have fun at the glorious Kick class. Yay~!

OH! I got a haircut :) But I can't really show a picture...because someone "fixed" my laptop for me and I either no longer now how to take pictures using my webcam or he removed it's capability to do so. Either way, you don't get to see. But I like it and I was in need of a change. ^^

Hmm, mentioning my haircut actually takes me back to last Saturday...when Hettie and I decided to have a 'Staycation'. It was supposed to be glorious and it was all going to start with going to a movie. Little did we know...we picked the wrong movie (and that's an understatement I assure you). We went to Black Swan for about an hour and talked about leaving several times before this point. She was covering her eyes and I was staring at it...unable to look away and I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I started crying. Hettie and I then left. Clearly I don't do good with scary movies, but she doesn't really either. Needless to say, we both learned our lesson - that movie is wretched (unless you're in to the whole dark twisted weird scary disturbing thing?). So this put a damper on our moods. I tried to lift mine with a delicious George cookie, but alas....no worky :( But then I got my haircut and we both seemed to be a bit better. We then went out for a delicious supper at Open Sesame after shopping for a bit. And then we went out dancing for a bit, and then bedddy-by.

I'm sure I'll be thinking of more things to add and more things to say but for now...I'll post this. Hopefully I can get another one up before March, but you never really know with me. So hope all is well in your lives...let me know how you're doing :)

Ciao for meow :)!

RANDOM FACT ABOUT ME -- I usually like to have sugar in some form (ice cream, chocolate, or some sort of treat) every day. But the sis and I are trying to adopt a healthier lifestyle. (Meaning no sugar...no processed junk foods obviously, we never eat out.) So basically just things from the food guide....wait...isn't ice cream on the food guide? D: We started February 2nd and have had one cheat day since then (the 4th because another sister called us up and asked if we wanted to come for homemade pizza and also homemade chocolate popcorn - ya...there was no turning that down). And we've been back to being strong ever since. It was hard being good all weekend. But we did it! I feel like I'm going crazy and starting to have withdrawals without my glorious sugar D: I'll let you know how it goes.
