Fries and scrambled eggs

Well... I definitely live the life of a (not classy) single person. I got home last night and I thought - Hmm...what to have for dinner? I recalled seeing some frozen fries.
'Nuff said Brain...I'll have those frozen fries ;)
But I can't JUST have frozen fries...
Why not? Nobody will know..
I should at least have a protein of some sorts...
*looks in freezer for meat*
Hmm... bacon and chicken...either will  take a while to first thaw and then cook.
*looks in fridge*
Scrambled eggs it is!

That's basically how this dinner last night came to be...

Strange? Probably.
Delicious? Definitely! :D It hit the spot.

But those tomatoes...I had to choke down. I've been forcing myself to eat them lately because, well...they're good for you (apparently). I was alright in the beginning, but I think I need a break from them. Once this container is done, it's friends off for a little while tomatoes. Don't take it personally.

George was trying to make like a bandit, and steal my eggs. Maybe I should just give him some unseasoned cooked eggs sometime...if it's allowed. He also has a strange obsession with grapes. If my hand is in the container, he just stares.

But when the hand is out...

ATTACK! He loves when all the grapes are off the vine too...he'll take off with it. He has a tendency to grab things and run.
(And yes, those are all his toys in the background... including an empty orange box, my (clean) socks, a hair elastic, and crumpled up paper. He's easily amused, but he gets bored easily as well....).

So, these reindeer are telling me it's the 11th (yes, I've been keeping up with my Kinders ;>)...which means there's only 2 weeks until Christmas. Crazy town! (Literally...Calgary is insane!)

So with the 11th, comes...my favorite Christmas tradition!

Well, first I'll start with my OLD favorite Christmas tradition which hasn't happened for probably at least 8 or so years. I actually talked about it in this post (about half the way down) from almost exactly 2 years ago.
My whooooolllllle family (give or take 1 or 2...there are 10 siblings and many nieces and nephews) would get together at the farm (which eventually moved into Lethbridge {the gathering...not the farm}) and there would be a big feast with a bunch of loud people. We'd play games, watch movies, eat more food and eventually we'd all get together and act out the Nativity.
As I said before, the Nativity was an absolute gong show. Sheep running free, Shepherds sitting in a line to braid hair or scratch backs, the Star would sometimes fall or at least once, the Star was 2 people joined at the head with some tinsel. It was an interesting time...but it was always a fun time that I won't be able to forget (well, not until I get senile and forget everything that is...).
I'm still so grateful for my family and I'm looking forward to Christmas this year.
I'm also grateful for my 2nd family (Scott's), and I'm looking forward to that side as well.

Lately, our tradition has been to order Chinese food on Christmas Eve and still the standard... games, movies, just hanging out. Though we no longer act out the Nativity (which is probably for the best...and we don't all gather together anymore, so we don't have near as many people), we will always just read the story in the Bible...which is still nice.

So, no huge traditions anymore... but that's alright with me. ;) I just like seeing the family! Pretty soon, Scott, George and I need to make our own traditions anyways!

What're your holiday traditions?? Old and new!
And what's your favorite one?

Ta ta for meow :)!

So I'm married ;)

Do I look any different?? :o

No? I don't feel any different either. The main difference to me is just thinking that I now have a 'husband' and that I'm now a 'wife'. Weird...

But well, I am married and so far so good :D Though it's basically only been 2 weeks so far...

I had some time off of work after the wedding, which was awesome, and I just got back this past Wednesday. Scott went off to work on Tuesday to cover for someone, and he gets back today - yay!

What can I say... it was an awesome day basically! Tons of support from family and friends, and everything went surprisingly smooth considering how packed the day was. The weather was a little overcast...but that actually ended up being pretty nice for not only pictures, but also aiding in not being too roasting hot. ;)
Thanks to all who were able to be a part of it, and all the hard work that was contributed. I especially thank those who traveled to be a part of my day - love you!

One thing I noticed upon returning...is that I actually reached my 200th post while I was away (2 posts ago I believe...). SO yay me for reaching 200 posts!

Another thing I noticed...I have a ton of blog reading to catch up on! Jeez... I didn't realize how many blogs I read. *.*

Other than that, life has basically been continuing as per ush! Still trying to get everything settled in the new place, still enjoying the sun whenever possible, and still trying to enjoy things to the fullest!

Hope all is well out there! What've all you been up to the past few weeks??

Peace for meow :)!

ABC about me!

Some ABC's about me and what's been happening lately.

A - A nice day on the beach. And luckily for me, in August I'll get some of those :D

B - Biking and bum workouts. Yesterday I went for a little bike ride, and a long walk and did a little bum workout. Gotta love the bum burn ;) (Unless it's a rug burn on your bum... I would imagine that to be unpleasant).

C - Cookies. I have a niece that has been obsessed with cookies lately and talks about them quite frequently. So cookies were bound to come up. C is for cookies.

D - Driving with the window down and the tunes playing... it's just kind of a peaceful relaxing time (mainly when it's not in city traffic...).

E - Exercise! Love it. I'm grateful when I'm well enough and have the time to do so :)

F - Family and friends. I've always appreciated them...but they've also been especially helpful in regards to my wedding. Thanks everyone! Love you!

G - Groceries. A full fridge and lots of options. I like that.

H - Having someone there for me almost all the time. Scott...I love you and appreciate all you do for me.

I - I think this is a joke. You obviously know it's ice cream -.- duh. (Home made FTW!)

J - Jumping and leaping! Lately I've been going on lots of walks (and also watching sytycd)...and for some reason I've been enjoying jumping around and being a weirdo. Normal, right?

K - Knives. Good knives are wonderful things! Not so wonderful? Not using them safely and slicing your finger... :( (you can use your imagination for what I was doing).

L - Laughing :D Oh how laughing can change/brighten up a day.

M - Market mall Petland. Oh how I love going to see and hold the pups and kittens :3

N - Not having to set an alarm clock. Those glorious days when you can sleep 'til your hearts content!

O -Opening mail...and packages! It's just kind of exciting :)

P - Personal pizza, home made pizza! That's what we had last night - delish :3

Q -  Quiet time to myself. I don't like it all the time...but sometimes, it's really really nice! Need to recharge my Trudyness.

R - Rain no more! RAIN GO AWAY! WE'VE HAD ENOUGH! Kthanks.

S - Summer & sunshine :D If only some sunshine would stick around here...we've had a few decently warm days, but not much sun :(

T - TV...namely SYTYCD  (as S was already taken) ;)

U - Upper floor heat. As in the upper floor of a house being unbearably warm and uncomfortable. (Like out in Strathmore {they have no A/C}...it gets so hot by the end of the day! Thank goodness I get to sleep in the basement...)

V - Vehicles...new vehicles. (Scott gets to pick up his new truck today - GMC Sierra 1500). Makes me get the itch for a new vehicle, not enough to actually scratch the itch though...just make it mildly uncomfortable (if that makes sense at all...).

W - WAX! As in waxing my legs. Let me tell you something... I hadn't shaved my legs in a long time, over a month - possibly 2! Anyways, disgusting or not, my leg hairs were at maximum capacity! And it didn't really matter because no one really saw them and I didn't care! But yesterday, I looked down at my legs and thought to myself...Wow, that's gross - I can't take it anymore. But I couldn't just shave it away, I had to wax it! So a niece and I biked to Wal Mart, some supplies were acquired, and then it was back home to get down to business! Anyways, be disgusted if you wish...I was too.
PS, this was NOT just one pull...more like half a calf
And then the irritation of the waxing began to set in! (As you can see by the little red bumpies).
But the result was smooth, much less hairy legs ;)

X - X-citement (what, was I supposed to put xylophone?!!) for the wedding, our upcoming vacation, time off work, and a new life to spend with Scott :)

Y - You! To the few people that read, thanks :)

Z - ZZZ! Sleep. I haven't been getting as much as I'd like...but life is busy and things have been good - so it's ok! Soon I'll be able to get some! (Hopefully...).

Byeas for meow :)!

Jeez.

It's actually difficult to get on here after being gone for a bit. Where do you start back up? Do people even want me to post?

I guess what it all comes down to is...I don't care :D It's my bloggy and I'll do what I want to!

Alright, so I went up to Lethbridge and there were a few things I wanted to share from there. One I'll share in it's own post (for ease of putting up pictures). SO! (Oh my stomach just gurgled...breaky time! I brought a yogurt and berry bowl - delish~!). Back to Lethbridge. I was down there for a few days. Visited some family, got wedding invitations out (thank goodness), and got some help from my aunt on my wedding dress (oh and ran a few errands).
Anyways, I've needed to go down there for a bit...so it was nice to get that taken care of. Though I, unfortunately, didn't get to see W this time around as she was busy with work. Next time!

Other than that...still getting wedding planning done (PS. that's happening in like a month and a half hey *.*). And still looking for apartments! We decided (I think?) that it may be a little too difficult, time wise, to buy a house this year. So I've been searching and setting up appointments and seeing a lot of rental properties. Needlesstosay, we've basically run out of time for finding something (decent) for the beginning of June and are more looking for the beginning of July.
Problem with that? Well... my lease is up in the next couple days here at my present apartment. So measures needed to be taken; 80% of my stuff is now in a storage locker (waiting patiently to be moved into a home). The rest of my stuff (food) will need to go to someones home. Other than that, it's basically just my mattress and clothing which I will be taking out to Strathmore for a month to live with my sister and her family!
So I'm Strathmore bound tomorrow night! The rest of my time has been taken up, for the most part, by cleaning the apartment for moving out. It looks so empty and clean. I'll miss it in some ways.

The last thing I'm going to say about myself...I did one of the 'Insanity' workouts (by Beachbody) this morning. Have you done them? There's no other way of putting it...they're INSANE. I did the 'Plyometric Cardio Circuit', and I was dying....sweating, panting, collapsing, dying. Dying. It was difficult. But I was so proud of myself in the end :D Go me!

Other things worthy of mention, wouldn't be in regards to me...
1. Scott is coming home tonight! He's been gone for 2 weeks and goodness it'll be good to see him again...
2. Francesca and Benifred get married this Friday... AH! That's also INSANE. But exciting :) Congratulations.

So the summary of this post? Things are going pretty alright...they're moving forward and life is still good.

Hope all is well with you :)
Anything new? What did I miss?

Toodles for meow :)!
(now to my yogurt and berries...)

Nope

I still don't feel like posting today. So all I'm saying this time is...I'm grateful for family.

Not many people will do what your family does for you. And they (usually) stand by you, no matter what.

Love you all.

Bye for meow :)!

HAPPY DECEMBER!

Sure it's been December for well...a week. But I'm here! I'm hoping to get a few blogs in for this month - because I may not like the cold but I LOVE the Christmas season!
I love hot chocolate, I love fireplaces and most of all I love caroling :)!

Well I'll start with what's been going on in my life and then give a little rant about Christmas (and no the beginning was not even close enough to covering it).
Alrighty! So last I left off was - well you look if you want to know :P
I'm still living here in the big city and I'm still living alone in my sister's place (while she's on vacay) Still talking to that sister (through emails and calls) and another sister (who moved to Baku). Anywho...for the most part life is pretty good! I enjoy the city and I like my job for now. I'm still trying to decide what I should do with my life for forever - but I still have time (I guess). I like my ward (church for those who don't know) and I'm involved with choir and music within that. It's actually been pretty busy lately with choir and being asked to sing for another thing. So I've been practicing and such. But I'm not complaining! I love music and ESPECIALLY Christmas music :)
BUT one bit of eventfulness - however unnecessary it was...A BUS HIT ME! A city bus... ran into my back right corner. It wasn't very bad by any means but it was still a pain! I stopped at a red light and there were apparently going to get behind me - and YES, you can use your imagination. So that was not so pleasant. And I had to make a claim and all that jazz. After the bus hit me - all I could think was really? Again? Is this a sign? Should I not be living here? Should I give up the keys? Throw in the towel? Call it a day? (Yes I'm sure you get the point) But all this was running through my mind and I eventually just said well you know what - it wasn't my fault and things happen. SO MOVING ON WITH LIFE - hopefully there's no more accidents in the near (or distant) future.

OH! AND that night I went home and the fireplace didn't work! And it hasn't worked since then - and it depresses me slightly but what can I do? (Get it fixed?? Meh.)

Alright...well Christmas has always been one of my favorite times of the year. We would always have a huge get-together - the whole fam damily. There would be tons of food - probably slight weight gain, and we would act out the Nativity and well...it was always a disaster.
Sheep would be running free (and Shepherds too likely), Angels missing, Mary falling off the donkey and well - I think you get the drift. But for me - I wouldn't have it any other way! I loved those days and I hold those memories dear. Christmas (and also being away from them more) makes me appreciate my family - especially my parents - so much more. Sometimes I used to think what it would like if I would have been born into a different family, but honestly...now, I can't imagine that at all. I love my family so much and I'm grateful for my parents and the example they are and all they've done for me throughout my life.
But anyways - Christmas is full of delicious bevys, and scrumptious goodies.
And Christmas music - I love it. Enough said.

OH! Another thing - I've also gotten out my guitar! I hadn't played in - pretty much a year! pretty crazy eh? The first day was utterly painful, but I think my finger callouses are coming along pretty good again. :)

I think that's pretty much it....I haven't been home for a few weeks now, can't wait til Christmas! Miss everyone. Haven't been able to go to the gym as much as I used to because I usually work kind of late and don't feel up to it at 7ish. But I still try and go when I can!
Still need to get a few more Christmas gifts and keep practicing - one of my performances is this Sunday! Wish me luck!! :)

Tell me some of your Christmas memories/traditions! (message or comment)

Also! Looking for some questions of any sort - leave me a comment, text me, messsage, facebook... question me!

Hope all is well in your lives :D

BYE FOR MEOW :)!

RANDOM FACT ABOUT ME -- I got W and I some special advent calendars this year (yes, where you eat a chocolate everyday - it's behind a special little window/door and it's awesome~!) - anyways...this awesome advent calendar is KINDER! It has little eggs, and shoko bons and yes just amazing. For Christmas it's a Kinder Surprise! I'm excited (and easily amused yes). But that is beside the point - just thought I'd let you know.

Happy Holidays Everyone~!
