This is not another leap years post...

HAPPY LEAP YEAR DAY! (Whatever that means...)
I couldn't help it, it only comes once every 4 years! (Right? I don't remember...)

So February 29th, I say hello and also goodbye until 2016 (Jeez, that's a long time...I'll be 25 then!). May you have a pleasant hibernation.


Weekendness and the likes.
So yes, W came up and we had a swell time and then I met up with my Scott fellow and even met a couple of his friends. It was actually pretty good! They were great guys and fun to talk to :)

Then at church on Sunday, a bunch of people were coming to congratulate us and see the ring in its glorious ringy state. And I also saw Francesca! Good to see you! Did I mention she's engaged?
Well, she's engaged! So congrats to her. We were discussing all we have planned so far. It was nice to bounce ideas off one another ;)

But yes, that's it. Anyone up to some delightful Leap Year Day activities??

Sweet weekend! I know I only had to work 3 days this week...but I'm definitely ready for the weekend! Not too much to share from my evening and week. It was a good week, but pretty laid back (which was good). It's been snowing on and off lately, which isn't all that pleasing unto me...but I guess I don't really have a choice in the matter (sadly).

5 Things Friday

1. W is coming to visit me today! I haven't seen her since... (looks back at blog quick) ok, I guess it's only been about a month. But that's kind of a long time! Anyways, I'm excited. Hmm...it was exactly a month since I last saw her....and it was exactly a month previous when I saw her in December :o Insane. Right? Maybe? Yes.

So what am I doing tomorrow? Hanging out with the W ;)

2. Fudgies! A delicious dessert...no bake cookie I guess it would be. Lots of people know them as Haystacks, but for my life...they're fudgies ;) Anyways, I have a niece that apparently made them last night and she posted this picture on facebook.

Mmm... these are so good! And I haven't had them in a long while. I would post a recipe, but it wouldn't be THE recipe. I'll get that from my mother when I talk to her next (later today) and share it with all ya'll. I'll edit this post to add it in :)

3. I'm enjoying that I haven't been in an accident for a while (and I intend to keep it that way...). Please don't kill me luck (or lack of rather...). But the same can't be said for this poor soul. I snapped this picture quick when I was on the way to work.

Photo Journey of Banff (part 2)

Most of these pictures were taken on the last day (Monday) before leaving. A couple were taken in our adventures through the hotel.
We slept in, got ready, loaded up the truck, and wandered around taking pictures. (I mainly wandered around looking at the pretty scenery and enjoying that the sun was out, Scott is more the picture taker {aka...photographer I suppose}) ;)

But these are a few of the shots I took!

Since being back, it's been work, eating?, and we watched the first half of the third Lord of the Rings (Return of the King). We will finish eventually!

Pictures of Banff Adventures

So we're back from Banff, and back to that "real world" (boo...). But these pictures are from Sunday (Scott's birthday).

We slept in...got all purdied (so just showered basically), opened Scott's gifty gift and hit the town! So yes, we went for brunch which was quite tasty! It was a big array of pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, and hashbrowns. All delish (except for the sausage which I passed off to Scott) :)

Then we decided to wander around Banff for some adventures! So we went in the little shops and I don't think we got anything actually... (besides candy)... but look at this cute little fox wallet!

I would've gotten it...but it was actually kind of expensive and not all that practical for the
amount of space I need. (I need a lot of wallet space)

So we came back to the hotel, and our room was all tidied and done up. Anything we left in, they arranged in some snazy way. Here's just a small example with my toothbrush :D

Then we did a bit more exploring (around the hotel) before deciding upon the birthday dinner feast! The special for the evening was yorkshire, roast beef, and mashed potatoes (and these cute little buns). It was so good~! (And also so expensive...as everything at this hotel is).

It's time for an unveiling of sorts...fine fellow has given me permission to use his name as he will frequently be on the blog. Scott! Lord of the Rings

Alright, so last night we went to Brava - so delish! Crispy Crackling Chicken with Mac and Cheese and carrots. You don't even know, it's so good.

Afterwards we headed back to fine fellow's place for some ice cream and to finish the second half of the 2nd Lord of the Rings. (I quote these movies far too much...soon no one will want to watch them with me :< ) But ah, The Two Towers has so many good parts! One day I'll be an Ent...you'll see!

All in all a great evening!

Because...well, I AM! :D

Well hey there! Hope your Valentine's Day was filled with awesomeness and delicious things :) And hopefully you can realize that you shouldn't need a special day to show someone how much you love or appreciate them, really it's just another day ;)
(I can say this from experience as I've been at both ends of the spectrum).

Hopefully your day looked nothing like this, even if you were alone (unless your day was completely adorable whilst being forlorn?).


Anything exciting happen? Just a regular day?
Fine fellow and I made a delicious dinner (seriously, so good) of Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo. It was a homemade sauce and mmm - 'nuff said ^.^ ~! I also brought the newest skittles over, Confused Skittles (or something?...they're in a purple bag), which are quite delish! They are slightly confusing, because none of the flavors match the color. But they're good flavors :)
And, as per my request, we watched Gladiator (extended edition...which is basically 3 hours long)...Ah! Such a good movie! In my eyes anyways, Russell Crowe is awesome.
All in all, a good night - love you Strongbad (fine fellow -- same thing)!

So today, I managed to make myself look decent before work. Trust me...I usually am NOT a pretty sight in the morning (plus there is never makeup put on for work). Why, you may ask, did I make myself presentable? Recall I mentioned yesterday that the fine fellow and I were going out for dinner tonight? Well, we're going out for dinner tonight! So I figured I should at least look half decent for the world (and fine fellow, of course), especially since we're going to a nicer restaurant called Brava Bistro. It's on 17th and, dear goodness, it's good! I'm excited :)

(Yep, you get to see a lot of me on here) :)

One last thing. Lately we've been having fantastic weather here! Seriously...so nice. But 2 days ago, all of the sudden...dump. Dump of snow. Whyyy?!? I'm used to no snow this year, and I like it that way. Too much white in this picture for my likings.
One nice thing about it being dark and snowing in the city, it makes everything glow just a little bit. Kind of pretty.

So Happy Valentine's and good day to you all. What do you figure?

This is actually my first Valentine's Day that I've not been single! (PS, things are still going great if you were curious), And what did I want to do for Valentine's? Absolutely nothing! It's going to be far too crazy out tonight, so in we stay! I have a slight idea of what we're doing, but you never know...so I'll fill you in tomorrow ;) However, we are going out for a post Valentine's dinner tomorrow :D!

What're your memories from Valentine's Day?

I remember back in elementary school...making a little "mailbox" (or rather, folder to hang from your desk). And you bring in a little Valentine and usually also a treat for everyone in the class. (I don't know if this is how it was everywhere...as I did grow up in a small town). I'm fairly certain we were sent home with a list of all the kids in the class (which you knew them all anyways) and the next day, you come with something for everyone! And then we'd have a little party! Why don't we do this nowadays?
1. I want a little cheesy valentine! ('Be Mine' and 'You're cute' and such - so lame) :D
2. Party with delicious heart shaped things - hello!? (Plus, you can never have too much red food coloring) ;)

I also remember always getting a Valentine's Day gift from my mother (well, parents I guess). Chocolate and a little something else. At least my mom always loved me :D

So what're you getting up to this evening? Are you celebrating another time or do you celebrate at all?

It's the weekend! Fine fellow is back and we're getting gussied up and heading OUT (to a YSA activity...because we're cool like that).

5 Things Friday
Best things about the weekend edition!

1. You generally get to sleep in (not if you work or go to church really...) and sleeping is awesome. No alarms = the good life.

2. There's generally a reason to get all purdied up. During the week I usually have absolutely no motivation nor reason.

3. Being able to relax a little bit...Not worry so much about schedules and business and such (unless you work...wow, working really ruins your life...).

4. Doing something fun! Weekends are usually a time to do something exciting that you don't normally do! (or in our case, head to a YSA activity ;) ).

5. Potentially see people you don't really get to see during the week, or even splurge a little more on what you eat ;)

(the fine fellow also mentioned that traffic isn't so terrible during rush hour on the weekend...especially in the morning! When I head to work Saturday morning, it's smooth sailing) :3

Anyways, off I fly...enjoy your weekend!

Working at the car wash!

And yes, you should be thinking of Labyrinth :D Just kidding...unless you're always thinking of it, like me ;) (the scene from a movie I was actually thinking of is Sharks Tale...Will Smith is awesome)

Scott and I took his work truck through a "touchless laser wash" today (yes it's as exciting as it sounds) and got the Xtreme Wash! Needlesstosay it got extremely washed and shiny and looks purdy ;)

And actually that was probably the excitement of the day...unless you include showering...because I guess I did that as well?

Hello Friday! How I've missed you my sweet friend! The only bad thing about it is my fine fellow left to go back to work for 2 weeks :( I'll miss you!

On a happier note, the family reunion/shindig last night was quite a lot of fun :) Lambie! You missed out! Dodgeball somehow managed to go on without you. And the fine fellow got initiated by coming to this crazy event!
Mmm~! Home made chocolates...

So today marks the start of a weekend, and I'm already quite ready for it...
May as well get in a quick...

5 Things Friday
New Year's Resolution Edition

Do you make New Year's Resolutions? Ya...I don't. However! There are some things I'll be working on here pretty quick just because the holidays are over.

1. Back to the grind for working out. There's not a lot of time when the fine fellow is back, but while he's gone...to the gym with me! It doesn't always have to be long, some is better than none!

2. More reading! Not only my church books (scriptures) but recreational reads as well! The fine fellow lent me a book called The Fifth Business, which I'm about 3/4 done but have put off finishing for quite some time now because I've started reading the Eragon series again. I'm usually not one to read 2 books at once but I was just really looking forward to getting through the first three and getting to the newest addition 'Inheritance'. Lately, however, I haven't been reading much at all D: Gotta finish!

3. Sleep! Lately enough sleep has not been gotten...this will need to be changed. Especially when I'm working out and working the next day. Sleep is essential for life (and beauty) ;)

4. Work more on me and what I want! School? Job? Life? Need to figure out what to do.

5. Develop better relationships with family and friends. I find I can easily let them drift to the side when really they're very dear to me! Love you all, I'll try harder!

RANDOM FACT ABOUT ME -- My family (yes, and me) is very competitive. The first part of our gathering consisted of games! Basketball, dodgeball, bump, relays and so on. I'm terrible at basketball though! And dodgeball actually...but it's really fun nonetheless ;)

So here we are! Finally to Christmas and I made it! I may or may not be needing a break from blogging now ;)

Anyways...the remainder of my Christmas Eve was pretty splendid, consisting of family, Chinese food, and Elf! (or passing out from exhaustion and excess food in the middle of Elf...)

Today was a big Christmas service at church which was nice...Nani and I got our singing in which went well!

Now Strongbad (fine fellow) and I are heading to Christmas on his end of the family :)

Its Christmas Freaking Eve

And the Colonel says hello! And so does the fine fellow! (surprise picture attack! I had his consent after to post it). ;)

This is coming to you live from the Lethbridge west side KFC after a feast of fries, gravy, and popcorn chickens. And let me tell you this...it was delicious! The gravy was so flavorful and I don't feel terribly disgusting! Apparently KFC on Christmas eve in Japan is a tradition! Awesome ;)

Anyways...we're about to head to Marble Slab to visit W! And not eat ice cream...ya right! (it's the holidays! Judge me all you want...)

Anyways, here we are at day 24! 1 day/sleep until Christmas!

On the 12th(!!) day of Christmas a Trudy gave to you 12 hours+ with friends and family, extra 11:11 wishes, 10 added food pounds, 9 pomegranates, 8 hot cocoas, 7 mandarin oranges, 6 snuggly pillows, 5 kinder eggs, 4 awesome nut (ps...my phone always tries to make this say but trays!) trays, 3 French toast, 2 candy canes, and a nice, warm, fuzzy toque.

So an unveiling to you, you may or may not have noticed a lack of "Strongbad" in my blog. And that, my friends, is because Strongbad is my fine fellow :) and things are still going really well! We're here in Lethbridge visiting my family right now.

So! I hope your Christmas Eve's are going marvelously and that you have a good night! May Santa bring you lots of gifts ;)

RANDOM FACT ABOUT ME -- I love gum! I seriously used to chew it nonstop all day long ._. I had to break myself of that habit, and now I have packs of gum all over my room! (mainly contained in a corner...). I still enjoy it from time to time, but not near as much. (it's called random fact for a reason, ok?!)

Wow! Ok, hello. It's been a little bit. I've been busy! And my last blog experience was basically wretched because it kept changing size and crap :< I'm the master of the blog! ME!

(hehe...awesome! It's a cat on a throne if you didn't get it...)

*cough* Anyways...so I've started about...6(?)ish blogs since the last one. I get bored and give up really easily! HELP ME DD: What happened to all those good people (Leinani) who would comment all the time and ask questions for me to answer?!? But yes, I've been busy. But I'll try to stick to this blog and post it, though you never know. There's still time for me to give up (though I feel that cat needs to be seen). So if nothing else, you should at least be seeing an awesome cat here.

So Thanksgiving weekend is almost here! Are you ready for your feast? Mmm....feast....*drool*
I love Thanksgiving dinner. A lot. So I am most definitely excited :D Any other big plans for the long weekend people??
Thanksgiving gets me thinking...what am I thankful for? TURN OF EVENTS! OH! I was going to do a different 5 Things Friday...but I just realized that I CLEARLY have to do a "Thanksgiving" Edition. Sooooo here we go.

5 Things Friday
Thanksgiving Edition

I am thankful foooorrrrrrr....
1. FOOD! Seriously. Food is awesome (and also necessary for survival). Think of all those delicious things out there. I would eat all the time if it wouldn't make me morbidly obese :< Though I eat as much as I can ;)

2. Family. Some of my best memories are with my family. I think my family is pretty fantastic and I know they would do basically anything for me. (And I would do the same for them). I love you!

3. Friends. The rest of my best memories are with friends. Family creates almost an insta-bond, but some friendships require a bit more work. (Some just kind of happen pretty easily, which is nice...but anyways...). When you think about it, {GOOD} friendships are kind of difficult to find. Although you're generally pretty trusting of your family, how do you know if you can trust a friend? Where does the bond build from? And that's enough of a rant on friends. Friends I love you. Thanks for standing by me.

4. F...{dang it, no more} Health. I'm so so thankful I haven't really had health issues in my life (knock on wood). I have a body that I can push and enjoy working out in. I don't really have many things holding me back. I don't get sick all that often and I truly am thankful for that. Go body!

5. Freedom. (HA! I thought of another one!) Canada (although it has pretty crappy weather... especially in Alberta) is a pretty fantastic country. We're pretty free to do as we please and it really is a very beautiful and spacious place. Canada I love you. And life - you are delightful.

Now I know this is a pretty lame list that I'm sure most people can relate to...but we all have our own stories and reasons behind why. I hope you all have a fantastic Thanksgiving weekend, and don't forget to make your "Thanksgiving Edition" lists. ;) What're you thankful for?

Soooo yaaaaaa. How was yoouuuuurrr weekend? ;) {That isn't meant to infer anything...so if you're thinking anything ridiculous or perverted right now, it's your own fault}.

My weekend was pretty alright. Definitely had it's ups and downs.
Downs? Strongbad and I...well...had a fairly rough patch that may or may not be over. Should be alright though.
Ups? Well, GODIVA chocolate was boughten on Friday. {amg, drool...}. Lately Mami and I have been getting a few of those {each} once a week because, well, they're just SO GOOD! {I've been taking a break from the glorious Slab (yes, that Marble one...)}. So, if you've never been...GO! They're buy 3 get one free right now (yes...they're fairly pricey. even after the 4th being free, it's like 7 bucks ._.). However, they're so good and quite rich...so you can't {or rather you shouldn't be} eating as many anyways. 'Nuff said.
Saturday, I made the cake I had made for Mami's birthday again. It was delish yet again. ;) Don't worry...we haven't been gorging ourselves {in public :D}.

Soooo yesterday was Sunday, and in the evening...Mami and I watcchhheedd Sense and Sensibility.
Have you seen it?
I actually hadn't even seen it before. It was pretty good until about half way through the movie it was like... "O.O What in the name of blonde Severus Snape is going on here?!?!". I just couldn't do it - I couldn't think of him (Whatever his real name is....) as anything more than Severus Snape. I kind of wish I had seen this movie before Harry Potter...
But alas, beggers can't be choosers {not that that really applies in this circumstance...oh well *shrugs*}.
Anyways, it was a pretty good movie! So if you're into that type of movie and haven't seen it...go for it! {WARNING: Blonde Severus Snape will still be there, even when you watch it}

While I was watching that movie, it made me think about that era. And how very very glad I am, that I did not live then.
1. The etiquette was so...well, you know me...enough said.
2. Those long heavy dresses. All. The. Time. One word - No.
3. The dancing. Jumping around like prancing ponies.
4. The focus on marriage...well that just reminds me of us Mormons actually -.-
5. The way they talk...is actually really awesome! (When I was making fun of it through the entire movie, it was only because I liked it so much.)

Wow. Clearly someone forgot to take their pill today.

2. Having a day where the attention is on you! (well hopefully)! Doesn't necessarily have to be the whole day, but some extra attention is nice sometimes ;)

(What the heck?!? I googled "all about me" and this popped up?? Conceited dog...)

3. Ok lets be serious.... we all like some gifts every now and then. Not necessarily big expensive things, but some thought filled ones or HEY even a nice lunch? :) It just kind of adds a bit of excitement! And of course the random cards with nice thoughts and little drawings and such!


4. All jokes aside, I think it's nice to get a year older. Although it's slightly saddening growing up, it's all a part of life. It gives you a chance to step back and evaluate where you're at and where you're headed (I do this more at my birthday than New Year's personally). And lets face it, every year we're growing in some way...whether it be emotionally, intellectually, spiritually or even physically.

(this had nothing to do with anything really...it just amused me) :D

5. And best of all...getting to hear from/hang out with all the people who truly love or care about you! Remembering someone's birthday makes them feel happy - 'nuff said :P

RANDOM FACT ABOUT ME -- Naps and me...just don't really seem to work. Yesterday I had a nap (it was an accident) and then I slept terribly (as in not at all) last night. *sigh* No naps for me :(
