Tuesday is closer to the weekend than Monday!

(Considering we can't exactly go back in time...)

This thought is seriously what's been getting me through the day. "Hey it's Tuesday! That's almost Wednesday and Wednesday is like the halfway point of the week, then before I know it...it'll be Friday :D". Sad...but hey, whatever works right?? ;3

So we finally get to crossover, and the halfway mark between The beginning of December and Christmas is here (or rather has passed...)! Day 13, with 12 days until Christmas. So technically this was supposed to be the start of the "12 days of Christmas" ;) So keep in mind that on the first day of Christmas a Trudy gave to you, a nice, warm, fuzzy toque! For a visual, look at my previous post ;)

I don't know...I haven't got a whole lot for ya today. Last night was FHE, Behind Sapphire did a free concert for everyone which was pretty good. It was interesting because the sound wasn't working how they wanted it to, so they switched to acoustic which was different, but they're always fun! I still haven't heard if they have a concert tonight, so...I...probably won't let you know, but just so you know...there might be one.

So it's definitely the Christmas season, and because I've been talking about them lately...I figured I should share Behind Sapphire's "Christmas Nigh" with you again. It's just a short song but it's happy and fun so :)

Has anyone else been listening to a ton of Christmas music?? I've probably heard enough to last everyone for Christmas ;) NEED MOAR! This one has always been amusing to me...so intense!

Anyways, carry on with your day. Oh! Nani, here I was thinking you were going to comment on my blog every day and you stopped after 2. It was tragic unto me. Good luck during exams though ;) Look forward to singing with you!

Byeas for meow :)!

RANDOM FACT ABOUT ME -- I don't recall if I've mentioned this or not...but one of my favorite fruits are pomegranates! And sadly, they aren't around all the time. I'm taking full advantage of their season right now ;) So delish~

PS. Update on the stye eye: It's shown signs of improvement and should heal up nicely (it better!). I wore my glasses again today, they hurt my eyes D:

Sunday day day

Day 11, with 14 days til Christmas! The 2 week marker! Crazy (I can't believe I've written 11 posts in a row...).

So yes! Last night, the Christmas party was not bad! (Although the fellow and I did leave around 8...), and we headed to see Behind Sapphire! Which was awesome!! They have some new material, and have changed up their older songs a bit, anyways...good! There was another band there as well, though I don't quite recall what they were called...(Nix Dickons) But they were good as well! Overall, a fine evening! ;)
If you missed Behind Sapphire the first time, they have one more show on Tuesday night before they head out. Not quite sure where it is yet, but I'll keep you posted!
They ended up heading to our ward today for church and I spent the time after church with them, been fun. And then at 7 there is a Choirside we're heading to! Love Christmas music :3

I can't believe the weekend is already over :< back to work tomorrow...but at least Christmas is getting closer everyday!

Enjoy the remainder of your Sunday ;)

Fare well for meow :)!

RANDOM FACT ABOUT ME -- I don't particularly like having long finger nails, it's more a matter of me being too lazy to cut them! They're too fragile and breakable when they're long...and it hurts to bend them back...

Yep

So Friday and the weekend are here. Though it doesn't really feel like the weekend because I work tomorrow :< but yay for money I suppose...especially nice around Christmas.
Day 9, 16 days til Christmas. It seems to be coming pretty quickly!

So do you remember a while back web I talked about Behind Sapphire?? (refer to these posts :) :( ;/ )
Anyways, they're back on tour to promote their new songs and this is short notice but they'll be in Lethbridge tonight and they'll be playing at The Slice, so if you have a chance...check them out!
Then they'll be playing a show here in Calgary on Saturday night and here's be a link to the details for that! {{LINK}}

I realized this link might not work for you! And if it doesn't, here's the address:
1119 10 Ave SE, Calgary, AB T2G 0S8 (called The Area)
And it'll be going from about 7 to 10.

I haven't heard their new stuff but I do know they're really good and so much fun! Seriously, check em out! For realz...

Hmm I guess it's time for another 5 Things Friday..."Things that are nice about it being snowy out...I guess" Edition!

1. Sledding! If there's a good hill and it's not too cold out and there's not a bajillion kids in the way, then sledding is awesome! :D

2. Snowboarding! I've only been once, and I remember doing many face plants and being disgustingly sore after/the next day...but I also remember it being a lot of fun!

3. To be honest...it does look really pretty out when everything is covered in white! (though it's also pretty when it's green and there's flowers and such...)

4. An excuse to let the animals/pets in for the cold :D save all the things! ( a lot of you won't get that...don't worry about it). Sadly there's been no strays hanging around my door and I have no pets of my own to let in from the cold
:< Save all the hobo's? :D?

5. Bundling up, staying warm, cuddling by the fire, whatever! It's all awesome and should be done with hot chocolate near by ;)

And I'm throwing in the towel and I say good day. ;)

Toodles for meow :)!

RANDOM FACT ABOUT ME -- I love hot chocolate :D (And Chai Tea Latte's from Starbucks...) But really! Hot chocolate is delicious! Have you tried making it with mint tea water? Or with a candy cane in there? Well do it! (If you like mint...).

P.S. Did you notice the color?? :D (I had to come on my computer to link all of these up for you! Be grateful... ;l)

Bye!

Take Your Medicine >:l

Ok there is no medicine... But this song is fantastic as well! And I wasn't sure if you fine folk would check it out if I didn't put the link up on here! And this song is definitely worthy of being listened to. So happy :)!

Hope ya enjoy :D

Behind Sapphire & 5 Things Friday :D

Alright, I may as well make at least ONE more post about Behind Sapphire. SO I (and Strongbad) got to hang out with them one more time before they left Calgary. (Which included Tubby Dog and Bubble Tea!) I even tried a couple of the Dogs...(as in one bite of 2 kinds)....1. Sumo Dog(?) with seaweed, some sort of ginger, and I don't even know what else. 2. Peanut Butter, Jam, and Captain Crunch (yes on a hot dog). What I'm going to say - they were interesting ;)
I did however get myself a Bubble Tea (as per a suggestion from Steven {drums}) of Mango Peach with pearls. It was pretty scrump :D!
Then we went back out (to Strongbad's aunt and uncle's place) to watch a movie. We had in mind to watch O Bother, Where Art Thou, but well... that just was not in the cards apparently! So instead, Brayden {bass} made the executive decision that we'd watch How To Train Your Dragon (as he hadn't yet seen it). As you may or may not remember from this post, I was a big fan of the movie... BUT I seemed to use Steven as a pillow for half the movie anyways ;)

Tuesday (not to mention car problems) I ended up going to Stampede with BK, Strongbad, White China, Francesca, & Francesca's squeeze {haha...still no rundown or new name yet ;)}. Anyways, it was my first Stampede experience - and it was a lot of fun! There were good rides, good eats, and good times (even after it started raining near the end). Highlights from the venture... 1. Starship 4000 {an anti-gravity type ride} - at the end of the night the guy running the ride would let us stand up and flip upside down and such. So fun! Except he kept leaving the "control board" and coming to talk to me(?) Weird.... ._.
2. Lemonade! I love getting the lemonade at these things. It's so tasty!
3. New toe ring! (I don't think you need a description on that...)
4. Missing soccer to stay later at Stampede! (for shamesies on me). >:3
5. The motocross show. These guys do absolutely INSANE things, I would die...seriously.

AND on to Wednesday. Strongbad {at the wheel}, Francesca and myself headed down to the Bridge to see Behind Sapphire perform an actual set live. Matt {guitar} was kind of difficult to track down ;), SO we ended up hanging out with my parents for a few hours. We had dinner, played cards, talked - fun times.
Then finally it was time to head to the Owl Acoustic Lounge! And it was so good! Such a high energy performance with great songs. I even bought a CD - yay! (Yes, I'm a groupy...but they're really talented!)
We then got to hang out with them for a while after the performance...help take down, help Steven play Tetris to get all of their equipment and things shoved in the back of the van, help Grant {vocals} eat some peaches ;), and then say good bye :(.
It was so sad that it was finally over. You guys are absolutely fantastic, and I cannot wait until I get to see you again! {Miss you!}
And for all those reading out there...if you haven't checked them out yet, do it now!
Here's the link to their page again. Or just YouTube them! I promise it's worth your time.
My favorite songs arrreeee...... 1. Lest Ye Stay
2. Oh My, What A Fine Day
3. Christmas Nigh
4. Nearer My God To Thee
5. Just their little videos. They're quite amusing ;)
(It was the best reason to be up til 4 and get up at 7:30 for work the next day...I think)

So...I've already had 2 mini lists of 5 things. But I decided I'm going to do an actual 5 Things Friday list (as you may have seen on other bloggy mcbloginsteins). The theme of this week will be music.

5 Things Friday
Music Edition

1. Well because I've been talking a lot about Behind Sapphire lately, I should definitely share at least one of theirs. This is probably my favorite song (you'll need to turn it up a bit as it is a recording from a live show). But they do have some songs on YouTube that are better quality ;)

Note: As you may notice...there are a lot of people in the band at that time. Their band is kind of ever changing. But Matt, Grant, and Steven are pretty core members I'd say. Brayden isn't in the video...but he's awesome nonetheless ;)

2. I actually found this just recently. And I find especially this song amusing because she sounds so similar to Nicki Minaj (P.S. I'm not saying I'm a huge fan or anything :P). I kind of think this cover is better than the original though :X. I also checked out a few of her other songs...but she sounds like...well kind of like an annoying rapping girl in all of them. She's definitely got some skills, just saying I'm not the biggest fan of all of her covers. She has some originals as well if you want to check those out ;)

**SIDENOTE** I would post the actual videos on here for all of these....But I don't know how to put up more than one D: (And I just figured out how to put just one up today). Help me??
**RETURN**

3. I have no idea why I thought of this song today.... But Shout by Tears for Fears is my #3.
I don't have any story behind it, nor reasoning for picking it. Basically, it just sounds amusing to me.

4. Metric! We were listening to one of their CD's on the way to the Bridge. I have a few favorites (Help I'm Alive, Dead Disco, Sick Muse and more), but I decided to post a link to Gold Guns Girls. I've only really been familiar with Metric for....probably the past couple years. So I'm still working on familiarizing myself with them.

5. When I mentioned Sick Muse (by Metric), it reminded me of the band Muse. My favorite song by them would likely be Uprising, though Knights of Cydonia is pretty good as well. Muse probably isn't one of my favorite bands, but well...they popped into my head and therefore make the list!

Now this has been long, so I'm calling it quits! (Seriously....half {if not all} of you probably passed out 5 minutes ago)...

Au revoir for meow:)!

RANDOM FACT ABOUT ME -- Often times, when I sing along with music...I don't even realize I'm doing it! I don't know if that would be considered skilled, or simply just thoroughly annoying (though either way, I think it's still skills) ;) Toodles!

Do the due....

THE FONDUE THAT IS ;)
(Oh jeez..... -.-)

Kssoooooo (queso = delicious!), W is officially married! SO I've been in the Bridge for the weekend, and it was pretty good! Good to see everyone, good to get a mani and pedi ;), and good to get some marble slab :D. The wedding was a success, as they're married now. Anyways, it went reasonably smoothly...I helped W with her hair and makeup. And she did look pretty gorgeous ;> Though it was unfortunate that 1. It was obscenely windy! SERIOUSLY... :\ And 2. Her hair's curliness kind of died by the end...but what can you do? Ya still looked ahhhhmazing ;) So Congrats to W and the giant! Have fun on the honeymoon (gross)... x) I wish you both the best in your "lifetime" together! (so help me...you better get what I mean W)...
And another bonus - I got to see J & A! They're some good friends of mine from...well quite a while ago. (Like....5 yearsish?) They came to W's reception, and it was good to catch up, act ridiculous and dance around ;) Love you guys!

Came back Saturday night after the wedding day! And Lambie, Az Bird (a couple of my sisters) and myself had ourselves a fun time - stampede style ;) 'Nuff said. It was fun...love you guys <3

Sunday! Was a kind of special day for Strongbad! I won't go into details...as they aren't my details to give. But congratulations to you :). It was good to meet some of your family. Francesca and I managed to get an invite to a family fondue! It was delicious! Great times, great food! Thanks so much to his Aunt and Uncle! Fabulous log house that he's built and is still a work in progress - very nice though.
So fondue - we had cheese, broth, and oil fondue with just tons of delicious little morsels! And later we even got *wait for it* glorious CHOCOLATE (NUTella heh heh) fondue. 3 words - So. Freaking. Good.
At this little event I even got to meet Strongbad's cousin and also his cousin's wife (no pseudo-names yet) ...who are both fantastic and lots of fun! They have their own blog (which I had been reading before I met them...which made it even more fun to finally meet them!), so by all means... check their blog out! They enjoy photography and have some awesome pictures up and also... they're just amusing and have cute posts (CLICK HERE :D). PS - happy 2 years ;)

So at the end of the night, we were waiting for some band to show up (that I hadn't even heard of before!). I kept thinking...Jeez! Where are these guys?? (Good thing we didn't wait to eat, that would've been unforgivable {as they came quite late in the evening}). But finally they came and it was TOTALLY worth the wait! These guys are awesome! Very entertaining and also talented~! So the band is called Behind Sapphire and I'd say their style is kind of a cross between folk and indie and other things.... haha. And you all should check them out! I'll put up a link {link} to their page... or you can youtube them. You should youtube them singing Nearer my God to Thee - really good! (Plus these guys are LDS) :o
So shoutout to Grant (vocals), Brayden (bass), Matt (guitar), and Steven (drums). It was absolutely fantastic meeting you all! You're all full of personality and it was a blast hanging out with you!
Anyone in Lethbridge on Wednesday night.... they'll be playing at the Owl Acoustic Lounge at around 9(?). Want more details, let me know. But really - check 'em out ;)

AND THAT IS IT!

How're things with you, general audience? :D

Toodles for meow :)!

RANDOM FACT ABOUT ME -- Well first off, I'm a new Blue Sapphire fan ;) And second...I now have a Sunfire! (car). I traded in the little GEO {I still love you I swears!} for a new (kay, well not brand new) sunfire :D So yay! I miss the GEO a little bit...but overall the sunfire is better ;)
