Happy Monday!(?)

Maybe?? Oh I don't know. I'd say today seems pretty alright for a Monday.

So what did I get up to this past weekend? Not a whole lot really.
I got things done, but I didn't really go out and do anything particularly exciting.

Friday night after I got home, Scott and I cleaned the whole (though it's not very big) house (meaning basement suite), hung out around the house, and made delicious nachos :D

Saturday I slept in a little bit (til about 7:30/8...which is much more pleasant than 5). I got my workout in and then walked to the bank to deposit a cheque and then to the grocery store to pick up a couple things. After that it was muffin time! I found a recipe for strawberry muffins, and then I also made a batch of peanut butter/banana/choc chip muffins. They're all scrumptious with just one problem...we have so many of them!
I like the mini muffins better...so we were left with about...7 dozen mini muffins...84! *.*

Then it was a bunch of loads of laundry (including bedding, futon cover, fuzzy blankets and such), so now everything is clean!

After doing my own yogurt mask(which actually works at least a little bit - on me anyways), it was time to clean the George beast. He was NOT liking it this time. I got attacked with claws....but I'm still going to do it again!

Despite the look in his eyes, he did love me again after this. And he's so soft and fuzzy and smells like coconut :D

Then he had to sleep for a long time to recover. Cutie.

Then when Scott got home, we just hung out at home again. And we actually got a few Thank You cards done :D We still have quite a few to go though...


Sunday was a much needed day of relaxation. AND I went to church which was really good, despite me being a loner. ;)

When Scott eventually came home, we went to feed the ducks :D They've drained the little pond now that it's starting to cool down and it stinks! Yet those ducks are sticking around in what little water is left. And we also made a reasonably delicious dinner...though I didn't take any pictures - sorry!
I even let George have a little taste of chicken...he likes it - a lot.

Anyways - THAT'S IT!
As I said, not too exciting but got some things done and now have oodles of muffins.

I've been hit!

Let me just start off by saying...I was wound-jured this morning. He told me not to tell anyone, so if I go missing or if you see a shower door following you around - BEWARE! o.o'

So I haven't really given an "update" in awhile. There really isn't a whole lot going on, but I reckon there's a few things that have likely happened.

So the long weekend was good - it was nice to see Scott :) And then on Monday I stopped by to see some family in Strathmore. It was a nice day so we even walked to the spray park :D and made some ice cream (which always makes for a good day).

Then it was back to work on Tuesday, nothing all that exciting going on at work...and after work time has mainly consisted of...

• Seinfeld
• working out
• walking
• ducks
• food
• ya...that's it

Not a whole lot going on when Scott is gone...even though it's basically the same when Scott is back, just not as lonely ;)

Now...I don't know if I've mentioned it or not, but Scott and I haven't really been on a "Honeymoon" yet. So, we're going back to where I was 2 years ago -- California :DDDD~!

We leave Tuesday (16th) morning and fly into San Diego, and then we stay there for about 5 days. After that, we're driving up to Anaheim (and back to Disneylannnnnnnddd - yes, I'm still a child) for about a week. We fly out of Anaheim and back to Calgary on Sunday the 26th. And let me tell you...I'm excited :3!

SO I'm going to have to get on getting ready for that. Be aware, all you non-existent readers, that you may not really be seeing many posts from me in the next 2 weeks.

But hope all is well with you, and that you enjoy the tail end of your summer!

Hopefully I don't shrivel up to a crisp in Cali...

Rainy days...

So our sunny day streak came to an end last night...and was replaced with wind and rain. What can you do but take it? (I would object and stay home instead if I could...)

So Scott headed back to work yesterday afternoon, so it's solo Trudy for now. Yesterday was a really nice day, which I decided to embrace with a little (key word being little) jog. Coincidentally [;)] enough...I just so happened to end up by the ducks :D And the little ducklings were out in full force! I was sad I had no bread to throw at them...but I found some pretzels on the ground which I broke up and threw to them (what have I become!?!?). I even made friends with a 5(ish?) year old who came to throw bread to the ducks. When her mom said it was time to go for a walk, she asked if I would come...and as much as I don't have any friends, I politely declined and said I should head home myself. 

Other than that...basically I just chilled at home. Had myself a dinner of cereal and also cheese and crackers (ok, and carrots). 

So last night, as I was brushing my teeth, I noticed a spider behind me (in the mirror) so I went to kill it. Upon closer inspection I found a not so awesome sight. 

1. There must be some kind of small crack/opening in the shower that water is leaking out of.

2. It's being absorbed into the baseboards....which were all wet and disintegrating.

3. Mold.

4. I don't know how bad the damage/mold is and how far back it goes. 

5. Awesome.

 

So that's how it goes for meow :)!

Top O' the Mornin' to Ya

Mmm...nice sunny day :)It's actually been a fairly sunny weekend and it's been awesome.

Scott and I managed to get a fairly decent amount done this weekend so the house is starting to look half decent - hooray! As for showing pictures...not until it's in at least a BIT better shape ;)

So there's not really a whole lot to share. Scott and I have been going on some nice walks every day because, well because I like walking! We live fairly close to U of C, so quite a few of our walks are right by a duck pond which...have some of the cutest baby ducks EVER! I kid you not. One mama duck had 8(!) adorable, little, fuzzy ducklings :3 AWE~! And then there was another mama with about 5 slightly bigger ducklings...and I managed to touch one! Let me tell you, it was SO SOFT! :D Today Scott and I are planning on heading there with bread...the plan is to capture one and take it home ;)

And yes, this is the most exciting thing happening in my life lately. What does that say about me?

Who cares :D

Married life. It's nice to be able to hang out and spend lots of time with Scott :) This past weekend, we were watching some How I Met Your Mother and I was playing with Scott's hair. And then it eventually progressed to braiding :D

He doesn't look overly impressed....but trust me, he is :D
